I’m 19 almost 20, looking to move from LA to Seattle on my own. Will be trying to secure a job before as well as housing, obv. What would be some things to seriously consider as well as the first steps to planning? It’s all in the early stages right now. I just know I want to move there for awhile and take a break from college.
First don’t try to secure a job…DO secure a job.
Second, everything costs. Your apartment, utilities, food, transportation, it isn’t cheap to live on your own. Understand that you will not be able to afford a lot of anything. Expenses would be easier if you have a room mate.
Third, where ever you end up renting take care of your place as if it’s yours. Keep it clean, try your best not to damage anything because you will have to pay for it in the end.
